PASTORAL CARE UNIT is an inorganic unit that started spontaneously in response to an emergency of assisting deceased Pastors or Gospel Ministers families in South Africa. This began in 2020 after the corona virus outbreak.

PASTORAL CARE UNIT is not an organization but acts as a buffer for Nigerian Ministers of the Gospel or other Nigerian Christians in South Africa who do not belong to any organizations to contribute towards helping grieving surviving families for funeral of their departed one.

More so in south African environment where foreign pastors have no medical aid, government's grants, retirement nor funeral benefits and this so far has been a source of succor to grieving families.
